1921 Fairbanks/Vega Whyte Laydie #2

1921 Fairbanks/Vega Whyte Laydie #2 in excellent vintage condition. Original 5 string neck! There are a few small scuffs, dings, and finish checking associated with any instrument of this age but this really is an extremely clean example. Replacement tuners, and the tension hook caps look a bit too new to be original but we are not sure. The sound of this banjo is absolutely beautiful! It has a ton of depth and character while still maintaining great clarity and a nice bright snap. Incredibly balanced up and down the fretboard. The banjo has been set up and plays wonderfully in all positions with absolutely no issues. Comes with a very nice modern Superior Deluxe hardshell case in excellent condition.
