1952 Gibson A-50
1952 Gibson A-50 in overall great vintage condition. The previous owner had Bruce Weber repair two hairline top cracks (glued/cleated and they are so tight they are hard to notice), do a complete re-fret, replaced the original bridge with a Weber adjustable bridge, and addressed some slight binding separation on the back. The tuners are replacement older style Schallers and work great (you can see a bit of the footprint of the originals). This mandolin is set up wonderfully with a low action and no performance issues at all. It would make a very cool vintage alternative to the majority of new mandolins in this price range made overseas. 1-5/32" nut width, flat fretboard. Comes with what appears to be a 20's Gibson hardshell case in very rough aesthetic shape but functions perfectly.
