1962 Vega Pete Seeger PS-5 Long Neck
1962 Vega Pete Seeger long neck model (PS-5) in good vintage condition. Appears to be all original with the exception of the 5th string tuner button and the bridge. The neck had a few gouges that have been filled, sanded, and buffed smooth. There are two small holes in the side of the neck where a 5th string capo once lived and one small hole in the fretboard at the 12th fret where a spike once was. Other than that, just a small ding here and there and the usual metal tarnish associated with a banjo of this age that could be polished out nicely if desired. Great tone and playability. In our opinion, this is a superior instrument to the later offerings of this model. Maple rim and neck, Tubaphone tone ring, 32" scale length, 1-3/16" nut width, 10-15/16" head. Comes with an old chipboard case.
