1989 Givens A4 in outstanding condition. There are a few tiny pecks here and there but in no way looks like an instrument coming up on it's 30th birthday. No previous repairs, none needed. The setup is very low and comfortable with room to move the adjustable bridge up or down to your liking. Plays great all the way up the neck. This mandolin has the signature Givens tone. Loud and clear tone with a dry, woody character that will sing out above any ensemble or jam session.
The late Bob Givens is famous for building simply adorned mandolins that sound incredible. This mandolin showcases just that. While not fancy by any means, the brown stain is applied lighlty enough to show through the figure and grain in the wood, giving the mandolin a nice understated charm and character. Single bound top and back. 1-3/32" nut width, radiused ebony fingerboard. Comes with an older shaped TKL case that is likely original to the mandolin and is in good condition.
