2006 Jim Triggs A5
A great little no frills A5 from Jim Triggs. Mr. Triggs worked for Gibson and is notable for his help in returning their mandolin specs back to the golden era of the 1920's. This mandolin doesn't have a lot of fancy appointments but plays and sounds great and is in excellent condition, showing only minor abrasions that are hard to spot. The setup is low and comfortable and plays great all the way up the neck. The tone is charming and has a Gibson-esque quality to it while still having it's own character.
Natural semi gloss finish, single bound top, neck, and headstock with rosewood overlay with "JTriggs" pearl inlay, flat rosewood fretboard, adjustable ebony bridge, Spruce top, Maple back, sides, and neck (highly flamed), 1-1/8" bone nut, Grover tuners, strap button installed at heel. Signed by Jim and Ryan Triggs and dated 2006. Comes with a shaped hardshell case that has some scuffs and stickers but functions perfectly well.
