2009 Collings MT2 that sounds incredible! The tone is wide open and the Adirondack top pops and sings. Crystal clear note separation and great balance from string to string and up the fretboard. There is a nice darkness to the low end of the tonal spectrum without being the least bit muddy. A wonderful, played in tone. A striking mandolin to look at, the black top contrasts in a very cool way with the highly figured maple back, sides, and neck. The back is one piece with beautiful flame and shows no abrasions at all.
In overall great shape there are a handful of very small dings in the top and one on the headstock, and most of the gold plating on the tailpiece is worn away. It's been played, a lot as evident in the tone, but not abused. There are no cracks or separations and we see no evidence on any prior repairs. It has fresh frets with zero wear and was just professionally setup to return it to Collings' factory setup specs. It plays beautifully. Standard Collings 1-1/8" nut width. Comes with it's original Collings case.
