SALES

All in store sales are final with the exception of an instrument or accessory being defective. If an item is suspected of being defective you must notify the shop within 7 days and arrange for a return. Mail order items have a 48 hour approval period (see below). We will make some special exceptions for gifts, but ask that you please discuss this with us prior to purchase. 

TRADES / INSTRUMENT PURCHASING

We do not entertain "trades" in the traditional sense, however we will occasionally buy used instruments outright from time to time. Since we are such a small shop we have to be selective about what we purchase. As such, it is advised that you call ahead to see if we might be interested in what you have before bringing it in. And although we need to see the instrument in person to make an official offer, we also want to be upfront about what we might realistically offer you before you make the trip and stop by.

PLEASE consider that we buy instruments to resell and therefore cannot pay full market value. We will be upfront about what we think we can sell it for and what we will offer. Feel free to call us to discuss the possibility of us purchasing your instrument. Or, if you would like advice on how to sell your instrument youself, we are glad to advise you the best we can!

48 HOUR APPROVAL

We offer a 48 hour approval/trial period on all mail order instruments.  Under this option, the purchaser may return the instrument for any reason at all but must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the instrument with their intention to do so. The instrument must then be shipped back to us within 24 hours of notification.  Refunds are issued in the form of a check and will be issued once we receive the instrument back and determine that it is still in the same condition in which it was sold.

Please note that until the instrument is received safely back to the store that it is still considered the buyers instrument. As such, the buyer is responsible for any damage or loss suffered in return shipping. It is highly advised that you insure your shipment and require a signature to confirm that the delivery was made. 

Having us add a pickup, strap buttons, or other alterations to an instrument prior to shipping, that doesn't already have one, will forfiet the 48 hour approval period. 

All shipping fees will be deducted from the refund amount, including shipping fees that were included in the original sale for free. We are happy to provide documentation of those actual shipping costs along with the refund.
