2022 Pava Satin F5 - Wide Nut/Torrified

2022 Pava F5 in outstanding condition. Any sign of prior ownership will take extremely close scrutiny to notice.

This is an absolutely beautiful sounding mandolin with just the right mixture of a woody/fundamental tone but with depth, character, and complexity. Crisp and articulate with ample cutting power to be heard over any ensemble of instruments, this is a powerful mandolin that also sounds great when played at lower volume with a light touch. Very balanced across the strings as well as up and down the fretboard. The instrument is very well set up and plays wonderfully in all positions with no issues whatsoever.

Adirondack spruce top (torrified), Red maple back/sides/neck, one piece back, satin sunburst finish, radiused ebony fretboard with pearl block position markers, pearl "Iris" headstock inlay, ebony "full contact" adjustable bridge, adjustable truss rod, Gotoh tuners, James tailpiece, 1-3/16" bone nut. Comes with a Superior fiberglass hardshell case original to the instrument.

*To note: This mandolin was originally equipped with a pin style pick guard but it was removed and misplaced by the original owner. There are two small holes on the side of the fretboard extension where a new one can be easily installed if the new owner chooses to have a pick guard. They are available to order through the Ellis workshop.
